I don’t like diets. Largely because I like food. Especially sausages, pasta, chocolate, peanut butter, crisps and cake with a nice cup of tea.
But I don’t want to turn into a bloater. So I run about a bit in an attempt to burn off the excess calories. I’m still probably half a stone to a stone over my “ideal” weight according to the BMI chart, but at least I’m relatively happy. People on diets often look a bit miserable, don’t they?
So, this is my blog about running (and other exercise adventures, like a triathlon and playing at being a soldier) and food. Hope you enjoy it.

Hi there,
Comment by Johnny Hall November 26, 2009 @ 8:02 pmOne of the reasons I love running is that I get to eat alot. I did an 85 mile non stop ultra in August and ate loads. Its weird eating and running. This is my blog entry re the race. http://johnnyultra.blogspot.com/2009/08/85-mile-run-done.html
Your blog is great on you are firmly on my blog role. Would love some feedback on my blog from a pro.
Cheers
Johnny
Just wanted to say hi and I’ve just read your blog mentioned in today’s telegraph. I’ve a huge love of food and although I walk maybe 5/6 miles a day due to my job, I find myself at least 2 stone overweight. I’ve just taken up running and have set myself a difficult goal in getting ready to do a marathon in nov. Enjoying your blog and will use it as a motivational tool. Cheers
Comment by Dave kerridge June 26, 2010 @ 12:36 pmI’m just looking around your blog. I love to eat too and would like to do the San Sebastian pilgrimage walk on of these days. I imagine one could eat all day long and not have to worry about gaining weight. Even a couple of beers in the evening would be guilt free. Great blog by the way.
